Welcome to the Grammar section of our suite. In this section of the program we will be covering things like particles, verbs, adjectives, sentence structure, advanced reading, dictionary look-ups and a variety of word lists to build up your vocabulary and understanding of the structure of the Japanese language.
Some of the word lists that we've included are from the JLPT. This is a set of standardized tests that grade your proficiency through 4 levels, level 4 being the basic through level 1 being the most advanced. These tests are held once per year, on the first Sunday of December, with a seperate test for each level. We have included word lists for levels 4 and 3 so far and plan to include levels 2 and 1 as we ready them.
Similar to other applications in the suite, we have included the ability to quiz yourself using both the Multiple Choice method as well as the Reverse Multiple Choice method. This way you can either match the word (written in kana, kanji and romaji at the top) with one of the English definitions below it, or in Reverse, match the English definition at the top with one of the definitions written below it in kana and romaji. We've also included the ability for you to selectively disable the kana, romaji or kanji for these should you choose to want to test your ability more specifically or avoid falling back on romaji (helpful for strengthening your kana/kanji reading skills).
We'll continue expanding this section as we write descriptions for all the individual programs that make up the Grammar section of the Japanese Learning Suite. Please check back later for more information.
